Senior Software Developer (Guidewire Certified)

Role Overview:

The Senior Software Developer (Guidewire Certified) will act as the lead developer for company-built software applications, supporting internal teams, claimants, agency customers, and insureds. This role involves designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and stable software solutions with a focus on efficiency and security. You will analyze and optimize existing applications, address security risks, and guide development teams in best practices. Additionally, you will explore emerging technologies to enhance the company’s technology landscape.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and development of business application software.
• Collaborate with software architects to design and implement new software applications.
• Identify and mitigate security risks within software products.
• Mentor programming staff on development standards, secure coding practices, and methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Service-Oriented Architecture, and DevOps.
• Manage and guide best practices in source control, database administration, development environments, and deployment processes.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer Ace Certification.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software development.
• At least 3 years of experience working with .NET, C#, Angular, SQL, and Azure Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices.
• Guidewire Digital Configuration Specialist Certification.
• Guidewire Digital Integration Specialist Certification.

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Guidewire Cloud implementation experience (highly preferred).
• Guidewire InsuranceSuite Developer Ace Certification.
• Guidewire BillingCenter Developer Ace Certification.
• Experience with CMS - Umbraco.
• Additional certifications in software development, database management, or project management.
