Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented SQL Developer to join our growing IT team. As a SQL Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL-based solutions to support business data needs. You will work closely with stakeholders within our HR, Finance, and IT teams to create consistent reporting solutions and ensure the effective use of databases and the efficient querying of data.

Qualifications

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 4-5+ years of Data analytics/warehousing experience for enterprise software applications
• Ability to leverage SQL to create complex queries and database structures
• Experience in techniques for tuning the performance of SQL queries.
• Hands on experience doing ETL work, creating pipelines for new data or adding substantive new entities into an existing model.
• Experience with Dimensional Data Models – databases organized in a Fact and Dimension.
• Understanding of data modeling concepts with an ability to manipulate data using software tools and SQL
• Proficiency with Power BI tools, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling to create effective reporting solutions
• Monitor and optimize SQL queries for performance, including indexing, query refactoring, and database maintenance
• Experience working with BI Tools such as Power BI, Azure SQL, or similar
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to tools, databases, and configurations

• Possess strong and effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to customize approaches for a variety of audiences
• Capable of influencing, interacting, and collaborating with senior management and technical resources both internally and externally
• Ability to perform effective product demonstrations as part of any enablement program
• Strong critical thinking skills with an ability to understand technical process issues and facilitate or influence decision-making
