IT LAN Administrator (Temporary 6 months)
Be part of our team at CRG and be able to manage and monitor the globally installed LAN equipment base for our client. Includes resolving operational Incidents and fulfilling customer requests. Perform approved changes and maintenance on the LAN infrastructure.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English. High Proficiency level (must).
- Studies in Telecommunications Engineering or similar.
- 2+ years of experience in a LAN management role, preferably in an Enterprise environment.
- Experience in TCP/IP, layers, switching, basic routing, 802.1x, QoS.
- CCNA Certified or equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Windows Admin tools (DHCP, DNS, AD) and Office basic administration skills.
- Experience in TCP/IP, layers, switching, basic routing, 802.1x, QoS.
- Experience with service desk ticketing systems.
- ITIL certification or equivalent awareness is a plus.
- Strong analytical capabilities and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the LAN Monitoring Service is fully operational, kept updated, and contribute to its ongoing improvement by providing feedback to the Monitoring Service owner.
- Provide Tier II and III level support for in-scope sites' LAN Infrastructure. This includes formal Service Level Agreements over multiple sites and countries.
- Ensure LAN equipment, Central LAN tools and any relevant configurations are properly backed-up to allow restore.
- Prepare and submit Root Cause Analysis reports for Severity 1 and 2 Incidents.
- Ensure proper escalation of LAN-related IT Service Desk tickets and retain ownership of tickets until resolution or hand- off to the appropriate support team, while acting as the interface between the Central Service customer and other IT groups or vendors when needed.
- Create and document LAN configurations and topologies for new and existing sites.
- Collaborate and actively feed-back to the Design Team and Management in order to develop and improve LAN and Telephony solutions and design.
- Coach local IT, new members of the team, and interns on LAN Infrastructure Services as needed.
- Execute switch iOS upgrades, complying to the versions recommended by the LAN Design team, to ensure all devices run official vendor supported versions.
- Conduct post-upgrade assessments to validate system performance, ensure compliance with patch management policies, and identify areas for improvement in future processes.
