Hosting and Compute Operations Engineer (Contractor)
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
• Advance understanding Cloud, Virtualization, Storage, Data Protection, Windows, and Linux/Unix environments
• Advance level of administration, monitoring, uptime, performance, security, patching and troubleshooting of all above enumerated technologies
• Work with users and IT technical groups to troubleshoot and solve basic operational issues
• Coordinate and assist working with vendors and datacenter technicians for installing/troubleshooting/replacing hardware as necessary
• Perform maintenance activities outside of normal business hours, based on a set of well-established standards and procedures
• Has a proven record for problem-solving and troubleshooting issues
• Able to work proactively and operate independently across organizational and geographical boundaries with supervision and direction of management and/or coworkers
• Self-starter and have the passion to learn new skills in a robust technical environment.

For This Role, You Will Need:
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT related courses
• Previous experience in Infrastructure IT on professional environments
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
• Good Knowledge of scripting languages and techniques
• Effective communication skills. Must be proficient in English (written and verbal)
• Working knowledge and understanding of Cloud computing and cloud service providers (at least 1)
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (primary)
Microsoft Azure (primary)
• General understanding of IT infrastructure and cloud technology (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, Converged On_prem)
• 1-3 years of experience in Managing infrastructure systems.
• Working Knowledge with Cloud, Virtualization, Linux, Windows, Nutanix, Data Protection and Storage.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart
• Unix, Linux & OEL expertise is a plus
• Cloud certifications for Azure, OCI, AWS is a plus
• Scripting, Coding and API knowledge is a plus (powershell, Github, etc…)
