The SAP FICO Consultant is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and support of SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. This role partners closely with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to ensure efficient financial processes, system integrity, and compliance with business and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate combines strong SAP functional expertise with a solid understanding of financial processes and reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Fluent in English. High Proficiency level (must).

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.

• 4–7+ years of experience working with SAP FICO.

• Extensive SAP FICO functional experience in covering the following areas; General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), Bank Accounting (FI-BL), Asset Accounting (FI-AA), Special Purpose Ledger (FI-SL), Cost Element Accounting (CO-OM-CEL), Cost Center Accounting (CO-OM-CCA), Internal Orders (CO-OM-OPA), Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC), Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Profit Center & Accounting (EC-PCA).

• Strong knowledge of financial and controlling processes.

• Hands-on experience with SAP configuration and support.

• Experience in end-to-end SAP implementations or rollouts.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.

• SAP certification in FI/CO or S/4HANA Finance.

• Experience in integration with MM, SD, or other SAP modules.

• Knowledge of Record to Report (R2R) business processes is important.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP FI/CO modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Cost Center Accounting, and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA).

• Gather and analyze business requirements from Finance stakeholders and translate them into SAP solutions.

• Lead analysis, research, design and development of new functionalities and integration with key applications and services under SAP ecosystems. Experienced across all phases of a project including fit/gap analysis, design, build, testing, training, cutover and post go live support.

• Lead or support SAP implementations, rollouts, and enhancements.

• Perform system testing, integration testing, and support UAT activities.

• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to SAP FICO.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, BW, etc.) for end-to-end process integration.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Maintain system documentation, configurations, and process flows.

• Drive continuous improvement and optimization of financial processes.
